Rules of the Competition
- Each poet may submit only one entry per year per each category: one for a regular poem and one for haiku.
- Participants may only enter their own original work, which was not previously published, and follow the US Copyright Laws.
- The font for each poem should be size 12 and the poem should not be more than one type-written page.
- The competition reserves the right to use entries for publicity for a period of one year from the date of the award.
- Only the winners will be notified and no feedback on the poems will be given by the judges. Each winner will be notified prior to the public announcement on the website.
- No ChatGPT-assisted or -written poems are allowed.
- Each winner will receive a $100 gift card and an age-appropriate volume of poetry.
- Submissions can be sent by mail, email, or through the website form.
- Teachers, educators, and schools may submit poems on behalf of one or multiple students.
- All poems must be submitted before or on May 10th.
